Meet Andrea Corson
Andrea Corson creates bold, one of a kind jewelry that defies expectations. Her wearable art is cast in Thai gold, bronze, sterling silver, and gold. Working intuitively, Corson sculpts directly in wax, incorporating unexpected shapes, textures, and objects. She uses her hands freely to carve, drip, mold, and manipulate materials, often integrating semi-precious and precious stones into her pieces. Each piece is hand-finished by Corson, revealing both raw and refined elements. Her work is a dynamic interplay of form, color, function, drama, elegance, and humor, with meticulous attention to detail.
With a BFA in sculpture from Syracuse University and an MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art, Corson brings a sculptor's sensibility to her jewelry. She lives and works in New York.
